15 Day Book Blogger Challenge – Day 3

My friend, Jackie, from Bookworm Cafe posted her responses to this challenge during July, so it put it on my own radar. I decided to take it up for the month of August. The challenge originated, it appears, with Good Books & Good Wine, so credit for the prompts goes to them!

This first paragraph will focus on book bloggers only. My best book blogger friend is most definitely Jackie from Bookworm Cafe! You know the person that I found out about this challenge from? Yes, her! She started off talking in a group chat together and the friendship has blossomed over the last several months. We can literally talk about anything. When I say anything I do mean anything. Our lives? CHECK Books? CHECK CHECK. I love that Jackie and I are so supportive of each other. It is great to have someone in this community that truly feels like they have my back. We are very different, obviously, but we never allow that to be an issue. Her friendship feels very unconditional and I appreciate that. If I could sing the praises of my friend Jackie from the mountains I would. She is truly special to me and I am glad we found each other from that group chat.

Someone else within the last several months, also from that group chat, that I would say is a BFF is Erin from Bluestocking Bookworm. When I found myself in a situation where I learned some people I thought were my friends in the book blogging community where talking about me behind my back, she showed she was a real friend and had my back. I have appreciated her ever since. She is a very genuine and authentic individual. One that I have definitely enjoyed getting to know better over the last several months.

HONORABLE MENTIONS – (Not BFFS, but definitely friends in the book blogging world) – Kris from Boston Book Reader, Danielle from The Introverted Book Nerd (Girl, I don’t care if you are still on hiatus, I still love ya to death), Jennifer from Bound To Writing, and finally to all the book bloggers that I follow and read daily. I love you all for your individual posts.

Now I said the first paragraph would be a focus on book bloggers only, but then it turned into more. I am good at that. This blogging bffs post would not be complete without a mention of my best BFF ever! My best friend, Alexis, runs a blog as well. Her focus is not on books though. She runs a toy blog, where she discusses different aspects of loving toys. It is Alexis’ Treasures. Alexis has been someone that I have known for well over a decade now. We have seen each other in some of our worst times and remained friends throughout them. We have supported each other. We have argued with each other. We genuinely feel like sisters at times. Whenever something happens in my life she will listen. She will try to add humor to the situation, even sometimes when it is not appropriate, but it is all because she is trying to be a great friend. I know without her friendship that I would not be here today, so I have to definitely give her a large shoutout in this post during blogging BFFS. She has been my BFF without the blogging and now with it as well.
